Jeffrey Obrien Pedigo returned recently to serve the community as a firefighter with the Russellville City Fire Department, bringing with him lengthy experience, numerous fire certifications, and EMT and Fire Instructor status.

Pedigo had been employed by Bowling Green Fire Department full-time for the last year, but has continued to work for the Russellville Fire Department as a volunteer during that time period. Pedigo began serving the Russellville Department in 2012 as a volunteer and full-time firefighter. He since has opted to return to serve the Russellville Fire Department once again as a full-time firefighter. Pedigo’s official rehire date was Feb. 19, 2017.

“Anytime that you can bring in a person with Obrien’s experience, training, and passion for the job, it is a positive,” said Russellville City Fire Chief Shawn Ross. “The City of Russellville and our department are very pleased to have him back.”

Obrien is the son of Jeff and Tammy Pedigo. He is a 2003 graduate of Logan County High School. He lives in Logan County with his wife Nicole, a 3rd grade teacher at Stevenson Elementary, and their two children, Elly and Evan. Obrien is also a volunteer at the Olmstead Volunteer Fire Department.
