Russellville band students recognized for accomplishments

Russellville High School band students traveled to participate in the WKU Honors Band Clinic held in January. Those students were Kaylee Silvey, Brandon Johns, Shayla Oberhausen, Hunter Moneypenny, Zach Baker, and Noah Brown. They were selected from approximately 700 students from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana who were recommended by their band directors to participate in this event.

Our RMS and RHS Band students traveled to the 3rd District KMEA Solo and Ensembles event on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Warren Central High School. Director, Brian Brown, reported the following results: 58 students participated in the Solo & Ensemble Festival. All 58 received Proficient and/or Distinguished Ratings.

The following students received a Proficient Rating at the Solo & Ensemble Festival:

Middle School: Zoe Wright, Josh Proctor, Domitria Martin, and Emma-Grace Gwynette.

High School: Zach Baker, Brendan Farlee, Carson Kash, Brandon Johns, Amariah Christie, Brett Kinser, Kaylee Silvey, Ma’Leigha Stovall, Shayla Oberhausen, Laura Mullen, Allison Tatum, Ryanna Day, Austin Coursey, and Haley Elliott.

The following students received a Distinguished Rating at the Solo & Ensemble Festival:

Middle School: Candace Baker, Graciann Beard, Lily Buffa, Natalie Cates, Amiyah Collier, Rachel Logan, Jordin Morris, Anna Ragland, Zoe Wright, Krisiana Barker, Rainbow Browning, Addi Cundiff, Janeth Pacheco, Rilee Boisseau, Karlee Elrod, Cassidy Farwick, Anna Leeman, and Magdalena Ramirez
