On Feb. 26, 2017 at 12 p.m. the Russellville Police Department responded to Wal-Mart in reference to someone shoplifting. In an attempt to stop from being stopped, Mark Corby, 50, of Russellville, shoved a shopping cart into a Wal-Mart employee and fled the store.
When authorities arrived, they located Corby in an adjacent parking lot where he promptly fled in a vehicle. Corby’s vehicle was stopped at Robinwood Apartments where he then fled on foot into a wooded area. A short time later, Corby was located back at Wal-Mart and taken into custody without further incident.
Corby was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of operating on suspended license, wanton Endangerment 1st degree, fleeing police 1st degree, robbery 2nd degree, reckless driving, and fleeing police 2nd degree on foot.
Deputies with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the investigation.
