The Logan County Emergency Communications Center (911-ECC) is updating its contact information for all businesses in Logan County. This list is used in the event that the ECC needs to contact someone, especially after hours.
All information obtained will remain confidential and will be released only to authorized law enforcement and fire personnel on an as needed basis, said Ginger Lawrence, director of the ECC.
“We do this every so often at the ECC to better equip dispatchers with the most up-to-date information,” said Lawrence. “For example, if the ECC receives an alarm on a business or anything happens at a business, we will have the correct information to be able to contact those who own the business and make them aware of what is going on. The business owners can also get into contact with authorities and possibly help them at the site.”
Lawrence further stated that the ECC is here for the community and wants to be able to be progressive and proactive, getting what they need ahead of time before something occurs.
“Our businesses are important to the economic growth of our community,” said Lawrence. “We want to help them anyway we can to protect them and help with their continued success.”
