KSP looking for wanted subject that fled traffic stop


On Dec. 1, 2016, at approximitly 5:30 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 3 Trooper Joe Gregory conducted a traffic stop on a Gold 2009 Chevrolet Impala on KY 79 just outside the limits of Russellville. It was discovered during the traffic stop that the operator was entered wanted for an active Probation Violation warrant.

When the driver was directed to exit the vehicle he refused and sped away where he led Trooper Gregory on a high speed pursuit that went across two counties before it was terminated.

KSP is looking for 33-year-old Christopher Levon Johnson of Pembroke, Ky. He is described as a black male, 6’00” tall, 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and multiple tattoos. Johnson is believed to be staying somewhere in the Russellville area.

Anyone with information to the whereabouts of Johnson is asked to call KSP Post 3 Bowling Green at 270-782-2010.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper First Class Joe Gregory. Johnson does still have an outstanding warrant for Probation Violation and warrants will also be sought for additional charges stemming from the traffic stop and pursuit.
