On Nov. 3, 2016, at approximately 2:55 p.m., the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to 1670 Dennis Corinth Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle-drug complaint. Upon arrival and through investigation, deputies made contact with 29-year-old Joshua Duncan of Russellville.
While speaking with Duncan, deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana about his person and inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Duncan stated he had two baggies of marijuana inside his vehicle.
Upon conducting a search of the vehicle, deputies located two baggies of marijuana, digital scales, and 1.6 grams of methamphetamine.
Duncan was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st offense, 1st degree (methamphetamine); trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 oz.) 1st offense; possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia 1st offense.
Deputy Kevin Saunders was the arresting deputy. He was assisted by Sergeant Clint Wright and deputy Kyler Harvey.
