Stevenson Elementary School held Ag Day Monday, Oct. 31 showing students all the facets of farm life from equipment to livestock. The event gave all students a chance to see what life is like on the farm up close.
The day was broken up where students spent time at different stations, most of which were outside on the front lawn of the school. Some of the outside stations included displays of large and small farm equipment, a presentation of milking a cow by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, a large assortment of animals, as well as hayrides and a trunk-or-treat since Monday was Halloween. There was a story teller featured at the Logan County Public Library too.
It was a fabulous day. The students were very engaged throughout the whole day. The kids were really well behaved, interested and asked many questions. Organizers said the day could not have happened without the help from the community.
