Paducah man arrested for cocaine

When a car was pulled over for speeding on Clarksville Road on Wednesday, the driver was arrested after drugs were found in the car.

On Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at 8:16 p.m., Deputy Kyler Harvey of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a gold 1990 Oldsmobile Regency traveling north on Clarksville Road near the US 68/80 Bypass because the vehicle was traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone.

During the traffic stop, Harvey located some cocaine and arrested the driver, 28-year-old Jamill M. Wilkerson of Paducah.

Wilkerson was charged with speeding 15 mph over the limit, failure to produce an insurance card, improper registration plates and possession of a controlled substance first degree, second offence for the cocaine. He was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.

Harvey was assisted on the scene by Chris Bellar of the Russellville Police Department.
