Hatton chosen as next Auburn assistant principal

Auburn Elementary School announced this week the selection of Sarah Hatton as the next assistant principal.

Hatton is the fourth assistant principal to be selected in Auburn Elementary School’s history. She carries on the rich tradition of excellence that she learned while being a student of Auburn Elementary School and Logan County High School.

Mrs. Hatton began her career in 2001 and has taught a wide-range of grade levels from kindergarten to middle school over the past 14 years. Mrs. Hatton had been serving as a sixth grade Language Arts teacher at Auburn for the past 9 years.

Mrs. Hatton graduated from WKU in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She continued her graduate studies at WKU.

“Auburn School has always been my home, and I am delighted to continue to work in the community I love,” Hatton said. “I look forward to serving the students, families and faculty/staff of Auburn. I can’t wait for this school year to begin.”

Mrs. Hatton lives in Bowling Green with her husband, Tim, and their three children. She is the daughter of Harlan and Kathleen Hess of Auburn.
