Thanks to the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Russellville one more addition to the downtown area brings warmth and welcome to all those who live and visit Russellville.
There are 18 durable flags that have been placed on all of the lamp posts surrounding the Carrio Square. The poles have two separate scenes on them promoting the Tobacco & Heritage Festival.
“I have been so excited to get these up,” said Tammy Tinsley, Executive Director of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. “We have these beautiful lamp posts as part of the beautification project around the square in Russellville and I thought why not utilize those posts by promoting what we have here in our community.”
Tinsley contacted Russellville Mayor Mark Stratton who loved the idea and wanted to partner with the Chamber on the venture.
“Anything we can do to make our community more welcoming we should,” said the mayor. “We are a very blessed community full of wonderful people, businesses and industry. We have a wonderful and dedicated Chamber who tirelessly promotes all the great happenings here in Logan County and we are very thankful.”
Gerald printing made the flags, said Tinsley after a design was created.
“As the Streetscape project continues in the future and more lamp posts go up, people will begin to see more and more of these types of signage going up. We can’t wait until Christmas,” said Tinsley.
So make sure when you are downtown in Russellville to look all around, because the beauty of the square is everywhere.
