Fall is an exciting time of year. From crisp weather that allows you to wear a sweat shirt, to the scenes of fall that include the bright colors of changing leaves and the plentiful pumpkins that sit on porches and yards. Carmel apples and candy corn all represents fall is in the air. Fall is a season looked forward to by many.

Just Piddlin Farms, located outside of Auburn, knows how to celebrate fall. The business bases its success on family fun and offers a wide variety of cool things to do for adults as well as kids. You can take a trek out into the pumpkin patch with your family or test your navigation skills and try not to get lost in the huge corn maze. You can even get a bit at the new bakery “The Hive,” which offers restrooms, wifi, and great place to sit and relax. In addition to hot dogs, chips, and drinks, they also serve a variety of baked goods including pumpkin bread, pie, cookies and more.

You can even rent “The Hive” for your next birthday party, family reunion, company picnic, business meeting, or other event.

Your children will love searching the pumpkin patch for their perfect pumpkin. They can pick a pumpkin right from the vine or choose from the wide selection in the barn. Just Piddlin offers a wide variety of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes.

The corn maze is filled with three miles of pathways containing checkpoints. Your challenge is to find all the checkpoint before exiting the cornstalks.

The cornfield trails are uneven, so tennis shoes are the best fit. It may be muddy after a rain and on warm evenings, bug spray may come in handy. There is no smoking in the maze, dry corn is hazardous. Just Piddlin puts safety first, so there must be adult supervision. Strollers are allowed in the maze.

This year Just Piddlin shows their Kentucky Pride membership in the corn maze. You can see this from the sky as the maze is cut to spell out Kentucky Proud. Kentucky Proud is the official state marketing program for agricultural products through the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
