The Logan County Sheriffs’ Department made three arrests over the weekend on serious charges.

On Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at approximately 4 p.m. the Logan County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by a subject that resides in Logan County and advised that his 14-year-old daughter had admitted to being involved in a sexual relationship with a 48-year-old man. Upon further investigation, 48-year-old Rigoberto Miner, of Bowling Green, was arrested and charged with three counts of rape first degree and one count of sodomy first degree.

Sgt. Clint Wright of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department is the investigating officer with the assistance of Captain David Kitchens of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and Auburn Police Sgt. Josh Toomey.

On Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, at 1431 hours, Deputy Jarrod Lyons was dispatched to 3469 Morgantown Road, in reference to a burglary complaint. Further investigation of the burglary complaint revealed Crystal G. Armstrong had unlawfully entered the residence, and stole approximately 200 dollars while the occupants of the home were attending church.

At 4:10 p.m., Lyons saw Armstrong operating a 2007 Chevrolet HHR, east bound on West Main Street, in Auburn. Deputy Lyons initiated a traffic stop on Armstrong in reference to the burglary complaint. Armstrong was taken into custody without incident, and was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center under second degree burglary charges. Lyons was assisted on scene by Captain David Kitchens with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.

On Friday August 19, 2016 at 3:14 p.m., the Logan Count Sheriffs Department received a call of a domestic disturbance in progress at 7887 Chandlers Road. Upon arrival, Deputy Kyler Harvey saw a male subject later identified as Brandon L. Ramsey and a female were engaged in a verbal disturbance in the front yard.

Ramsey fled an foot into the front door of the residence and exited the rear door where Deputy Harvey saw Ramsey throwing a clear cellophane wrapper containing white residue onto the ground. Ramsey was arrested in the back yard of the residence.

He was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of fleeing or evading police on foot, alcohol intoxication in a public place third or greater offense, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance first degree.

Harvey was assisted on scene by Sgt. Clint Wright and Russellville Police Detective Tim Burnett.
