On Friday, Aug. 12, in the Jim Young Gymnasium of Russellville Junior/Senior High School, an enthusiastic crowd gathered for the annual tradition to “Meet the Panthers.”

The RJSHS Cheerleaders formed the “tunnel” as each team was introduced and presented before the audience. The coaches and teams announced were as follows: RMS softball team, soccer, football, and cheerleaders; then the RHS soccer, golf, volleyball, and football.

The RHS cheerleaders lead the crowd with some spirited games, Coach Calvin Head, and the Panther mascot made appearances. We anticipate a great year of sports at RJSHS and invite the community to support each team as much as possible! Come on out to this Friday’s game where the Panthers will host the Trigg County Wildcats in the 1st Annual “Buddy” Linton-Howard Wren Kickoff Classic, at 6:30pm.
