‘What American Means to Me’ contest winners

On Tuesday evening, July 12th, winners of the annual essay contest “What America Means to Me” were guests of the Logan County Republican Women’s Club.

First place winners of $50 each were Leah Gill and Kara Noffsinger; students at Olmstead School and members of Mr. Justin Adams’ 8th grade ELA class. Second Place winners of $40 each were Kellie Proctor and Aaron Hinton, students at Auburn School and members of Ms. Lara Bills’ 7th grade ELA class. Third place winners of $30.00 each were Crandal Barrow and Emma Grace Gwynette, students at Auburn School and members of Ms. Lara Bills’ 7th grade ELA class; Chely Laster, student at Olmstead School and member of Mr. Justin Adams’ 8th grade ELA class.

Winners present read their patriotic essays and were given checks and certificates. Refreshments were served.
