On Monday, June 6, 2016, at 2:07 p.m. the Lewisburg T-Mart contacted the Logan County Emergency Communications Center (ECC-911), and advised a female had locked herself in the restroom and requested bystanders contact 911. Upon arrival of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and the Lewisburg Police Department, deputies learned from the 42-year-old female victim that she had woke up at her residence in Lewisburg around 11 p.m. the night of June 5 when she noticed her ex-boyfriend Ricky Hunt, 44, of Greenville, had entered into her residence and was standing over her. The female victim advised Hunt would not let her out of his site and later stole her cell phone.
Around 1 p.m, on June 6, the female victim stated Hunt grabbed her by her left arm and forced her into his Chevy pickup truck without shoes. Hunt drove recklessly into Todd County to Cliffy, then onto Lewisburg T-Mart where he entered and attempted to purchase cigarettes. The female victim advised Hunt she had to use the restroom and after entering the restroom locked the door until police arrived.
Hunt left the Lewisburg T-Mart prior to the deputies arrival, but was later located in Greenville by the Greenville Police Department. Hunt was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of burglary 2nd degree; kidnapping (adult); unlawful imprisonment 1st degree; driving on a DUI suspended license, and failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation.
Deputy Kyler Harvey of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department was the arresting officer. Deputy Harvey was assisted on scene by Deputy Jarrod Lyons of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Lewisburg Police Chief Alan Alsup and the Greenville Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
