Adairville man arrested for forcible rape

An Adairville man was arrested Thursday on charges on rape and sexual assault after breaking into the home of a 69-year-old female.

On July 9, 2015, at 2:14 p.m. the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and the Adairville Police Department responded to a sexual assault on South Main Street in Adairville.

According to a police report, 44-year-old Jeffery W. Hall of Adairville, made forcible entry into the 69-year-old female’s home. While inside, Hall then physically assaulted the victim multiple times, causing injuries to the victim’s facial area.

Further investigation showed that Hall also sexually assaulted the victim on multiple occasions during an extended period of time. Hall was immediately detained near the residence and was arrested and charged with first degree burglary, second degree assault, three counts of first degree rape, first degree sodomy, first degree sexual abuse and kidnapping.

The victim was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital by Logan County EMS, where she was treated for her injuries and later released.

Detective Kevin Bibb of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department is the investigating officer.
