Chandlers places well in robotics competition

The Chandlers Middle School robotics team, the Bionic Bears, recently placed seventh out of 23 teams in their division in the Robo Challenge Xtreme State Tournament held at Rupp Arena in Lexington.

The tournament is part of the state level competitions of the Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP). The team qualified to compete after earning a 1st place win in the regional competition. Team members designed, built, and programmed a robot to complete missions. The competition combines engineering and mathematics to create an experience that is both exciting and educational for students.

Team members participating in the State Competition included: Dana Boone, Drake Cornelius, Schon Crawford, Joshua Dukes, Maggie Dukes, Ezekiel Epley, Ethan McDaniel, Courtney Rainwaters, and Asa Taylor.
