The Russellville City Fire Department would like to congratulate Fire Fighter/EMT Dale Shields on his recent promotion to Captain. Captain Shields started as a volunteer fire fighter with the City of Russellville in the late 80’s and transitioned to full time status in 1999.
Captain Shields moved to Russellville from Ohio County in 1986, where he began his career with the Logan County EMS, where he is still currently employed as a part time EMT. Captain Shields has also been employed with Medical Center EMS as a part time EMT since 1997. Captain Shields has spent the majority of his life in the medical and fire field since becoming a volunteer fire fighter with the Hartford Volunteer Fire Department in 1980.
Captain Shields resides in Russellville with his wife, Stephanie Shields. Together they have two daughters, Jessica Shields Burns (Ricky), Samantha Shields Epley (Johnathan) and two grandchildren, Addison “Addi” Burns and William “Liam” Burns.
