Arrest made from reported suspicious activity at Warren County Park


The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green has been investigating multiple incidents that have occurred in the last few days at various parks in Warren County. The reports both included an elderly male subject in a black Nissan pick-up truck that was seen watching or encountering juvenile females in the parks where both parties reported suspicious behavior.

The first incident occurred on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Romanza Johnson Park and involved a 17-year-old juvenile female. The second incident occurred on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Basil Griffin Park and involved an 8 and a 10-year-old juvenile female.

Through the investigation warrants were issued for 76 year old Jerry Spears of Scottsville. Spears was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and charged with disorderly conduct 2nd degree (2 counts) and harassment- no physical contact (2 counts).

The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Shae Foley. No further details can be released at this time.
