Man picked up on outstanding warrants, drugs

On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at 5:11 p.m. Deputy Kyler Harvey of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a silver 2005 Buick Lacrosse driven by Krystal G. White, 34, of Russellville, on Duncans Chapel Road in the area of Van Hooten.

Deputy Harvey recognized the front passenger to be Barry K. Holloway, 43, of Russellville, who had four active warrants out of Logan Circuit Court.

During the traffic stop deputies located a quantity of methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia.

Holloway was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on the four bench warrants out of Logan Circuit Court, and as a result of the traffic stop faces additional charges of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

White had previously been informed Holloway had active warrants out of Logan Circuit Court and deputies learned White had been a form of transportation for Holloway while Holloway had the outstanding warrants.

White was also arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of hindering prosecution or apprehension.

Deputy Harvey was assisted on scene by Captain David Kitchens of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.
