Sheriff releases citation report for March, April

Sheriff Wallace Whittaker gave a citation report for the months of March and April, 2016, at a recent fiscal court meeting. The sheriff has been asked to provide the report by magistrate Dickie Carter.

According to the citation report, the sheriff’s department had 169 reports for March including: 7 for possession of marijuana; 5 for possession of methamphetamine; 6 for drug paraphernalia, 1 for wanton endangerment; 12 domestic; 1 rape; 23 for speeding; 1 for alcohol intoxication; 2 for DUI; 2 fleeing or evading; 3 burglaries; 5 thefts; 43 miscellaneous, and 56 served warrants.

Also in March there were a total of 1,342 CAD incidents answered by the sheriff’s department, some of which included: 22 animal incidents; 38 alarms; 26 automobile accidents; 212 attempts to serve; 59 citizen assists; 2 child abuse; 10 court appearances; 12 criminal mischief; 17 domestics in progress; 2 fraud; 23 follow up investigations; 7 K9 requests; 4 locked out of vehicles; 3 for loud music; 2 unresponsive patient; 2 missing juveniles; 113 routine patrols; 22 prisoner transports; 27 reckless drivers; 10 road hazard; 1 sex offense; 2 shoplifting; 16 suspicious persons; 15 suspicious vehicles; 5 terroristic threatening; 20 theft of property; 201 traffic stops, and 18 welfare checks.

According to the citation report, the sheriff’s department had 137 reports for April including: 6 for possession of marijuana; 5 for possession of methamphetamine; 5 for drug paraphernalia, 2 for wanton endangerment; 1 domestic; 1 rape; 21 for speeding; 2 for alcohol intoxication; 5 for DUI; 13 burglaries; 9 thefts; 20 miscellaneous, and 47 served warrants.

Also in April there were a total of 1,007 CAD incidents answered by the sheriff’s department for one month, some of which included: 13 animal incidents; 25 automobile accidents; 149 attempt to serve; 15 business checks; 57 citizen assists; 2 child custody disputes; 9 criminal mischief; 10 disturbances; 9 harassment; 8 juvenile offenses; 4 loud noise; 2 chest pain; 3 suicidal subjects; 13 suspicious persons; 201 traffic stops; 3 subjects with a gun; 4 shots fired; 1 missing person; 23 reckless drivers and 1 loitering.
