National Lineman Appreciation Day

They often go unnoticed and unappreciated, but on April 11, the linemen at Warren RECC were recognized for their bravery, dedication, and service to the communities the Cooperative serves.

America’s electric cooperatives have designated the second Monday of April as National Lineman Appreciation Day. On April 11, 2016, Warren RECC honored these hard working individuals for the services they perform around the clock in dangerous conditions to keep power flowing and protect the public’s safety.

“Every day, these talented and hardworking individuals put their lives on the line and sacrifice valuable time away from their families to keep the lights on,” said W. Scott Ramsey, Warren RECC President and CEO. “They work all hours of the day, often in hazardous conditions going above and beyond to restore power to Warren RECC members. Our linemen, as well as linemen from across the nation, truly deserve this special day of recognition.”

Warren RECC invites members to take a moment to thank a lineman for the work they do.
