Accident sends three to hospital


On March 23, 2016, at 8:35 p.m. the Logan County Sheriffs Department responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries on US 68/80 East at KY 73.

Upon arrival and through investigation it was found that a 2008 Ford Explorer being operated by Melinda Robison, 48, of Missouri was traveling east bound on US 68/80 when a 2013 being operated by Donal Green, 73, of Auburn was attempting a left hand turn onto Kentucky 73.

Green’s vehicle pulled directly into the path of Robison’s vehicle causing Robison’s vehicle causing Robison to leave the roadway and overturn once before coming to final rest.

Green’s vehicle continued east bound before coming to final rest on a rock culvert.

Both Robison and her passenger Lybbie Carpenter, 63, of Missouri, were transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for unknown injuries. Green was also transported to the Medical Center f0r unknown injuries.

Both vehicle received severe damage and were towed from the scene.

Sgt. Clint Wright with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by deputies Jarod Lyons, Rob Bubacz, and Sheriff Wallace Whittaker. Also assisting was the Auburn Fire Department and Logan County EMS.
