A teenager was taken to the hospital after flipping a Ford Mustang on Old Greenville Road last week.
On June 25, 2015, the Logan County Emergency Operations Center received a call about a rollover accident with injuries on Old Greenville Road near Bucksville Road in the Auburn area.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department and the Auburn Rural Fire Department arrived on the scene to find a white Ford Mustang convertible on its top in the middle of the road, according to a police report.
The driver, a 17-year-old female, was found standing near the car with a cut above her left eye.
The driver said she attempted to avoid hitting a deer standing in the curve of the road and struck an earth embankment, causing the car to overturn onto its top back on the roadway before sliding for approximately 20-20 feet before coming to a final rest on its top.
The driver was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital by Logan County EMS for non-life threatening injuries. Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Jakop Smith is investigating the accident. He was assisted on the scene by Sgt. Robert Toombs and deputy Parker Rowland of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, the Auburn Rural Fire Department, Logan County EMS and Clays Wrecker Service.
