Students at Stevenson enjoyed ‘Soup with Seuss’ on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, March 1, 2016, Stevenson Elementary hosted its 2nd Annual “Read Across America, Soup with Seuss” event.

The evening began at 5 p.m. as students and families signed-in and received their rotation assignments and tickets to enjoy eating delicious vegetable soup prepared by our lovely cafeteria staff. Each family continued to participate at the 8 Teacher-planned-activity rotations from 5:30-6:30.

These stations consisted of Family pictures; The Cat in the Hat; Green Eggs and Ham; Bingo; One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; Oh the Places You will Go; Art fun in the Art Room; and Music!

Many of our Teachers, Staff, and students were dressed in colors, patterns, or themes of Dr. Seuss. Each student received a free book as the evening ended.

Many positive comments were overheard amidst lots of laughter and fun! Thank you to all those who helped plan and present such a great evening at Stevenson Elementary School!
