Two traffic stops by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department led to a pair of drug arrests this week.
And a third incident saw a woman go to jail for allegedly breaking out a window which struck a 2-year-old child.
On Feb. 23, at 1:40 p.m., Deputy Jarrod Lyons with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 400 block of North Spring Street in Russellville. The vehicle was being operated by 29-year old Brandon D. Osborne Auburn.
Osborne was presumed to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Further investigation of the traffic stop revealed illegal and numerous items of drug paraphernalia recovered from inside the vehicle.osborne was taken into custody and was charged with failure to or improper signal, operating on a suspended or revoked operator license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, possession of a controlled substance first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing a license after privileges are revoked. Osborne was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center,
Lyons was assisted on the scene by Sgt. Clint Wright and Deputy Kyler Harvey with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and Officer Seth Whittaker with the Russellville Police Department.
On Monday February 22, at approximately 8:58 a.m., Deputy Kyler Harvey of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a black 2005 Cadillac Escalade traveling southbound on Clarksville Road (79 South) on charges of Careless Driving.
During the stop, Harvey located Cocaine, Marijuana, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver, Kenneth L. Hollins, 37 of Clarksville, Tenn., was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of careless driving, failure to produce insurance card, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.
On Feb. 23, at 3:34 p.m. the Logan County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to 115 Bullock Lane in reference to a domestic disturbance complaint.
Deputy Jarrod Lyons made contact with 44 year old Catherine Adcox in the driveway of the residence. Adcox was intoxicated and allegedly busted out a window on the front of the residence resulting in injuries to her hands and feet. Further investigation of the complaint revealed Adcox allegedly struck her 2 year old granddaughter when she busted the window out of the residence.
Deputy Lyons took Adcox into custody and lodged her in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of first degree wanton endangerment, fourth degree domestic violence assault, third degree criminal mischief, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Lyons was assisted on scene by Captain David Kitchens and Sgt. Clint Wright with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Logan County EMS and the Dunmor Volunteer Fire Department.
