Modern Woodman of America partnered with the Logan County Baseball Club to promote a fundraising event that was held Tuesday, Feb. 16 on the square in Russellville. Money raised will go toward purchasing much needed equipment for the baseball club.

Parents and supporters stood in the cold rain selling pulled pork sandwiches, chips, a drink and dessert.

“We are very happy to be able to help,” said Sonya Cardwell with Modern Woodman. “We are very proud of our community and the many youth programs offered. We were glad to be a part.”

Modern Woodman of America Chapter 11559 will be matching all funds collected from this fundraiser.

As a tax-exempt fraternal benefit society, Modern Woodmen sells life insurance, annuity and investment* products not to benefit stockholders but to improve quality of life for our members, their families and their communities. This is accomplished through social, charitable and volunteer activities.

*Securities offered through MWA Financial Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Modern Woodmen of America. Products are available in most states.
