Lauren Burnett, a senior at Logan County High School and member of the Logan County Girl’s Soccer Team, signed Jan. 13, 2016, to play with the Campbellsville Lady Tigers. The Tigers were 19-3 last season and runner up in the Mid-South Conference tournament. They ended their season ranked number 14 in the NAIA.
Burnett, or LB as she is affectionately called by her teammates, has been a four year varsity starting goalkeeper for Logan County. She has helped lead the team to three consecutive district regular season championships and four consecutive district tournament championships. She and the defense collected 19 shutouts over her four year career, and she had a career best 1.5 goals against average during her junior season. She was a two year captain, and will be greatly missed by her teammates and coaches. She has an outstanding work ethic and attitude. She works tirelessly to pursue her goals and pushes others to excel with her.
Burnett is the daughter of Curtis Burnett and Melissa Bray of Russellville.
