Sheriff’s Department searching for stolen truck

On January 10, 2016, at approximately 11:57 a.m., the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a theft of vehicle at 195 Stuart Smotherman road. According to reports, a 1997 Toyota Tacoma extended cab 4wd, gold in color, was stolen from the driveway on Stuart Smotherman Road. The vehicle was last seen by the owner Cody Goodman on Jan. 9 at approximately 11:30 p.m. There were firearms inside the vehicle at the time of the theft. One was a Ruger HMR 17 caliber, another was a Browning 22 caliber and a third was a Remington 20ga shotgun. Also inside the truck was a tan YETI Roadie cooler located in the bed of the vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office was notified Monday morning that the stolen vehicle had been located and returned to Cody Goodman, along with the stolen items. The vehicle was left abandoned in Lewisburg with no damage reported.

“I would like to personally thank all the public for all the cooperation regarding this case,” said investigating officer Sgt. Shaun Embry of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.
