Accident sends three to hospital

On Nov. 28, 2015 the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence on Lewisburg Road to a single vehicle accident with injuries. Upon contact with the vehicle it was found that the vehicle was traveling north bound on 431 north in Logan County. The vehicle hydroplaned going around a curve causing the vehicle to leave the right side of the roadway. Once the vehicle left the roadway it struck a concrete culvert on the front of the vehicle. The vehicle then slid into the ditch on the right shoulder of the road and out into a front yard.

The driver of the vehicle was complaining of pain to his fingers. The side airbag on the drivers side was deployed. The passenger directly behind the driver was complaining of a possibly broken arm. The front passenger was complaining of chest pain.

Those involved in the accident were Jordan Taylor, 20, Johna Blythe, 12, Carli Boots 17 and Jacob Blythe, 16, all of Russellville.

All passengers were wearing their seatbelts and the transported to Logan Memorial Hospital.

Deputy Parker Rowland is working the case. He was assisted by the Logan County EMS, Dunmor fire Department, deputy Ed Higgins and Sgt. Clint Wright of the Logan County Sheriffs office.

On Nov. 29, 2015, the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle accident with no injuries at the Dollar General Store in Auburn.

Upon arrival it was found that Scott Kraeger, 49, of Missouri, was driving a semi for Paschall Trucking out of Murray. The driver was trying to turn the truck around in the parking lot when he got lost trying to find the Champion Petfood plant on 68/80. The witnesses stated that the driver backed the semi into the of the building causing the whole building to shake. The building received damage to the awning and what appears to be some slight damage to the sign on the front of the building and the support structure of the awning. There was no damage done to the truck or trailer.

There were no injuries to any patrons or employees of the business.
