A Bowling Green woman was involved in an accident on Spa Road on Tuesday night in Logan County and later died from her injuries.
According to a police report, the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a wreck with injuries in the 4300 block of Spa Road in the Lewisburg area on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 7:26 p.m.
Upon arrival, deputies determined that a black 1998 Honda passenger car, driven by Teresa York, 52 of Bowling Green, was traveling east on Spa Road before striking a concrete bridge. York’s car then went airborne and overturned before coming to a rest on the other side of the creek.
York was removed from the car by the Lewisburg Fire Department and transported by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Sgt. Clint Wright is the investigating officer for the Logan County Sheriff’s Department. He was assisted on the scene by Sheriff Wallace Whittaker, deputy Kyler Harvey, deputy Rob Bubacz, Lewisburg police chief Alan Alsup, the Lewisburg Fire Department and Logan County EMS.
