A Tennessee man was arrested in Olmstead on Wednesday afternoon and charged with murder following a stabbing that occurred in Clarksville, Tenn., on Monday.
According to a police report, on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 2:30 p.m., the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Kentucky State Police, responded to 188 Whistletown Road in Olmstead after being informed that a subject there was wanted in Clarksville for criminal homicide.
When law enforcement arrived at the residence, Rodney Keith Brown, 35 of Clarksville, was taken into custody without incident.
Brown was then taken to the Logan County Detention Center and charged with being a fugitive from another state and criminal homicide for the incident in Montgomery County, Tenn.
Clarksville police responded to a reported stabbing at 1560 Cherry Tree Drive on Monday around 11:30 p.m.
Upon arrival they discovered a victim in critical condition who was transported by Montgomery County EMS to a Lifeflight landing zone and transported to Vanderbilt Trauma Center, where he died of his injuries.
The victim was later identified as Stephen Jones, 31, of Chestnut Street in Clarksville.
