Hanks Construction Company has ended their long-time contract with East Logan Water District as of Sept 30, 2015.
The Hanks team have managed the water utility since 1984 and have taken pride in the daily operations of the commitment it requires to keep tap water in the homes of the utility’s nearly 3,000 customers.
“It has been our decision for us to choose to enter a different industry, and we were given a unique opportunity to explore something that we have been passionate about for a long time,” ssaid manager C.K. Hanks.
The Hanks team want to thank the customers and board of commissioners for entrusting them, and for the support and friendship over the past three plus decades of service.
“We have made many lifelong friends along the way and are grateful for having had the chance to work with such an incredible customer base,” said Jana Hanks.
The Hanks say managing East Logan Water District has always been very motivating and has inspired them to give it their best in the daily operations of management. “We have always taken pride in the many years of customer service, dedication and loyalty of our management,” states Jana Hanks.
C.K. and Jana Hanks are proud that under their management that East Logan Water received the prestigious state wide Kentucky Rural Water Association’s Wooden Bucket Award, the Kentucky Rural Water’s Public Relations Award as well as a top three in the state in Kentucky Rural Water’s Best Tasting Water Award.
Hanks Construction Company has also taken pride in providing several public relation programs on behalf of East Logan Water including: the National Drinking Water Week school programs for Auburn, Chandlers and Lewisburg Schools, the annual newsletter for the entire customer base, the Senior Scholarship program, and the customer friendly annual Customer Appreciation Day that was held on the front lawn at the offices of East Logan Water.
C.K and Jana Hanks want to wish East Logan Water the best in their future endeavors.
The offices of Hanks Construction Company, Stack-n-Store Self Storage and Keeton Hanks Properties will continue to operate under selected days and hours and the new phone numbers are posted on the front door of the offices at 399 East Main Street in Auburn.
East Logan Water District will be re-locating to 333 S. Franklin Street in Russellville, effective Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015. The office will be closed Oct. 27 in Auburn preparing for the move. The new phone number for the East Logan Water District will be 270-717-0991. Customers in the Auburn area may pay their water bill at the Auburn Banking Company.
