If you are looking for a fun night of dancing, good food and fellowship, the Auburn Senior Center is the place to be. Always looking for fun and exciting activities for the community, the Auburn Senior Center provides events throughout the week, and also hosts larger ones such as the up-and-coming Fall Dance for those who want to get out of the house and have some fun.
On Saturday, Oct. 17, you can come out and kick up your heels from 6-9 p.m. at the Fall Dance at the Auburn Senior Center. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and everyone is invited. There will be a pot luck meal and a cake walk. Dancing music will be provided by Buddy Luck’s Young at Heart Dance Band. The cover charge is $5 per person to pay the band.
“Please make plans to attend our last dance of the season,” said Auburn Senior Center Director MaryAnn Henry. “Bring your favorite pot luck dish to share. Donations of cakes for the old fashioned cake walk are appreciated as well.”
The center offers a wide variety of activities including: Bingo, dancing, exercise classes, game and movie days and much more. Special programs are also offered on health, insurance and senior well being. Field trips are also taken throughout the year.
The 4,084 square foot facility includes an activities room, warming kitchen, restrooms and office space. The warming ambiance of this center is sure to be inviting to all who use it. The center is located at 169 Wrenwood, Auburn.
