Logan County-Russellville Helping Hands are having their first annual Kiddie Karnival Oct. 17 from 4-8 p.m. at Stevenson Elementary.
Cost is $5 for a kid’s armband and adults accompanying the kids are free. This cost includes all games and jumpy.
“We will also be selling hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy and drinks at addition cost,” said Lacey Tooley, one of the organizers of the event.
If any individuals or business would like to sponsor this event they can contact Tooley at 270-893-3512 or Jennifer Dodson at 270-772-1425.
“Any monetary donations or food such as hot dogs, buns or can cokes, would be greatly appreciated,” Tooley said.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will be for Helping Hands to continue to help those in need in the community.
Logan County-Russellville Helping Hands is a non-profit organization run by Jennifer Dodson and Lacey Tooley helping the underprivileged with food, clothing and basic necessities. They rely on donations and the sale of items from their consignment shop, located on 1211 Nashville Road, to help bring in funds to use on those who need them.
“The store offers a variety of items, from household and kitchen to clothes, shoes, knickknacks and all sorts of odds and ends,” said Tooley. “We accept donations and then price them low so people can afford to buy them.” The two women then turn around and use that money for food boxes, personal hygiene items and cleaning and school supplies for those who cannot afford them. Helping Hands also helps those who have been affected by fire, tornado or natural disasters.
