The Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival is closely approaching, with many annual events leading up to the parade on Saturday, Oct. 10th. One of the most notable and lasting events is the annual Tasters Luncheon held at the United Methodist Temple in Russellville.
This event promises a delightful and delectable day filled with some of the best cooking in Logan County.
The Temple sponsors this annual taste-tempting luncheon each year during the Tobacco & Heritage Festival. This year the event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The Tasters Luncheon began in 1972, and has become a much-enjoyed and anticipated event in Russellville each year. Participants have the opportunity of tasting delicious entrees made by church members, who pride themselves on creating the best and most tempting recipes. This event is just one of many that are planned during the week long Tobacco & Heritage Festival.
Tickets for the luncheon are $10 and will be on sale at the United Methodist Temple starting Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Friday, Oct. 2 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. You may choose from two dining times.
Church members work very hard to come up with and prepare special dishes to try. This is the event’s 42nd year, and it is one of the steadfast parts of the festival week. Come on out and join in the fun and festivities of our annual Tobacco & Heritage.
