Fruit of the Loom, Inc., based in Bowling Green recently announced several local schools as winners in the Fruit Smart Hometown Loyalty program.
Logan County High School, along with Jody Richards Elementary and Franklin-Simpson High School receive da $500 bonus check for purchasing more T-shirts and sweatshirts from Fruit of the Loom, Jerzees or Russell brands than any other school in their counties during the 2014-2015 school year.
“Fruit of the Loom created this program to support our local schools and their needs for T-shirts, sweats and polos for spirit wear, teams, clubs, organizations, events, etc. and we’re happy to award these schools in recognition of their success,” said Jeff Traen, Director of Marketing for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. “The Fruit Smart Hometown Loyalty program was created to reward community schools when they select our brands. Garments can can be purchased from any screen-printer, embroiderer or team dealer in the local area.”
Each garment purchased earns the school a $.25 per unit rebate. At the end of the academic year, the school in each county with the highest number of garments purchased receives a $500 bonus at the end of the year.
“Being a local company ourselves, we wanted to support all of our surrounding county schools. This is a great way for these organizations to order decorated apparel and earn cash rewards at the same time,” said Traen.
