They’re back! Webb’s restaurant in Lewisburg is re-opening its doors Sunday, Sept. 6 – same place, same time.

When Webb’s restaurant opened at the edge of Lewisburg in 2005, it quickly became one of the most popular places to eat for locals and those from surrounding areas. From their secret meatloaf recipe and country fired steak, to their hot fudge cake stacked to the ceiling, Webb’s was the place to go during lunch, dinner and for weekend outings.

When the restaurant closed in 2012, it left some people wondering where they would go in the small town, especially those who work for a nearby industry who called upon Webb’s daily for takeout orders.

Well the wait is over. The four sisters who opened Webb’s 10 years ago have decided – at the nudging of others – to bring it back.

Joan Mohon, Nancy Eggleston, Lana Richardson and Lisa Polacheck all say it is time. The tight knit family have been told numerous times over the past few years, just how much Webb’s restaurant has meant to the city of Lewisburg, and how they wish it was open again.

This time around Richardson will be taking the reins, with the other three sisters backing her up. The family will be bringing back the old menu, as well as some of the old staff.

“We realized when coming to Lewisburg that it just wasn’t the same for us without the restaurant,” said Richardson. “We love our community, and we want to supply a service to those who live here.”

Three of the sisters graduated from Lewisburg High School, with the youngest graduating from Logan County High. They all feel great gratitude to Lewisburg and where they grew up. It is home to the four women.

The restaurant will be open seven days a week. On Mondays through Saturdays they will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. just in time for those getting out of church. Webb’s also has a meeting room in the back of the restaurant for large groups or events.

“We just love our community and we love to cook,” said Lana. “We hope the community will be glad we are coming home again.”
