Greetings from The Antioch Community.
Sure have been having some hot weather haven’t we?
We had a nice shower this Monday morning.
It kep and appointment with my Doctor in Bowling Green on Thursday of last week. When I came out, there sat two good friends, Terry and Barbara Hart. It was good to see them. When my mother was in Creekwood, they came to see ehr and brought their Sunday school class. My mother loved them.
A group of senior citizens from our church went on Friday to Clarksville and ate lunch at the Golden Corral restaurant. I never saw so much food to choose from and it sure was good. Sylvia Clardy, who lives in Clarksville, met us there and ate with us. My granddaughter Michele, who also lives in Clarksville, came and ate lunch with us. We enjoyed the food and the fellowship together.
Melba Gibbs drove the bus for us. She had her great grandson and two of the Garcia girls with her. Others going were Marcie Patterson, Avanell Clardy, Dolores Harris, Joyce McIntosh, Jo Ann Henderson, Sheila and Harry Epley, Roy and Cheryl Flewallen and Louise Henderson. Hope I didn’t leave anyone out.
We enjoyed Marka nd Kay Thornberry speaking to us Sunday morning at Antioch Baptist Church about their trip to the Porcupine, South Dakota reservation.
Our mission project has been filling water bottles with pennies, dimes and nickles for Pure Water, Pure Love. We will be collecting the bottles on Sunday, July 27. So don’t forget to bring your bottle full of change Sunday.
Our next project will be collecting for the Fisher House in Clarksville and then also we do the show boxes for Christmas for Samaritan’s Purse.
Juanita Key is in Logan Memorial Hospital at this time. Rosie Yarnell is in Rehab at Creekwood Place. Myrtle Pogue hasn’t been able to attend church in a while. So remember these and all the sick in your prayers.
Jimmy White said his Mom, Christine White, was doing fine. She is living at Home Town Manor in Room 2. I’m sure she would enjoy a visit from you.
I enjoyed talking to my good firend Jeanie Gregory over the weekend.
My sister, Sue Fuller, has the Pneumonia, but she is feeling better.
I enjoyed listening to Gerald Hildabrand on the Feedback program and also with Mack on Monday.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the time for Dr. Larry Gotts to be on Feedback Program with Don Neagle. I always enjoy when Dr. Gotts is on Feedback. He is my Family Doctor, so I guess I am sorta partial to the program when he is on.
Resentment comes from looking at others, contentment comes from looking at God.
Have a good week.
