Who should I vote for?

1 Peter 4:17 “For the time is come that judgment must first begin at the house of God: and if it first begin with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

As November nears, I’m asked this question often: “Who should I vote for?”

I believe as Christians we have a duty to vote, American soldiers lie silent in graves all over this world to ensure your right to vote. Let’s look first at who we shouldn’t vote for.

1) We shouldn’t vote for candidates that will not govern according to God’s word. Our nation is in the mess that it’s in because ungodly people have been elected that support the secular humanist belief system. This nation was no doubt founded on the principles of God’s Holy Word.

Remember this on election day.

2) We shouldn’t vote for candidates that supports the destruction of the lives of the unborn. If you support abortion, you have a right that 50,000,000 aborted babies were never afforded. They never got to go to school, never went to prom, never turned sweet 16, never got to walk the aisle with their spouse, never saw a clear blue sky or a rainy day.

Remember this on election day.

3) We shouldn’t vote for anyone who refuses to defend the U.S. Constitution. We have laws against illegal immigration, we have laws against judges legislating the law. We have laws that protect my right to bear arms, and to defend my home and family. Marriage was never intended for folks of the same sex. This election will determine how far into depravity America is willing to go.

Remember this on election day.

4) A man’s word meant something in days gone by. We shouldn’t vote for a liar. If you’re caught in a lie, own up to it – don’t continue to lie about the lie.

Remember this on election day.

We will stand in judgment for our choices here on earth. Jesus said in Matthew 12:36 “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” Before you cast your vote, one day you will give an account to God. Remember this on election day.
