Come and see if these girls have changed much in five years. On July 17 from 2-4 p.m. there will be a celebration recognizing two young Auburn ladies who happen to be 10 days different in age and have been friends for 70 years.

They are both are pretty well-known in the Auburn area, as well as Logan County, coming up on eight and a half decades.

Their party will be a fundraiser for the Auburn Museum. They request donations with the amount 85 in it. It can be .85 cents or $85 or anything in between.

Eloise Hadden and Elsie Carpenter will be celebrating together. If you were born in 1931 or close to it, come on by and join the party. Come see the collections at the museum. There is an old jail, the Greenwood School house, an old barn, a new chapel and a cabin.

The ladies hope to get enough contributions to mend and seal a blacktop drive and parking lot.

There will be refreshments served including lemonade and cookies.
