The Logan County High School softball team wrapped up the top seed for the District 13 Tournament in a big way Tuesday.

The Lady Cougars blasted Franklin-Simpson 13-0 in just five innings.

In the first inning, Erica Meguiar doubled off right field wall. Michelle Belt bunted and reached base on bad throw, and Meguiar scored on the overthrow to third.

Logan County really blew the game open in the third inning, however.

Aeron Smith led off with a single. Michelle Belt singled,

Shenna Bilicki singled and Lindsey Moore doubled into right field scoring two. Brooke Yokley then doubled in the left field gap scoring two more. Emily Croslin singled, Jordan Schafer bunted and scored Yokley. Melton bunted scoring Croslin and Meguiar tripled scoring Schafer and Melton.

In the fourth, Shenna Bilicki singled, Yokley walked and Croslin doubled to scored on Croslin's double.

The Lady Cougars rounded out the scoring in the fifth. Meguiar and Smith both singled. Bilicki then hit a single to score Meguiar and Yokley singled home Smith.

Logan County (7-8) will be back in action Saturday with a double header at home against Muhlenberg North and Edmonson County.
