She was born in Logan County Aug. 9, 1937, a daughter of the late Joe Burnnett Taylor and the late Florene Farmer Taylor. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Taylor.
Mrs. Foster was an advertising director for Al Smith Publications and was a Baptist by faith.
The family of Jo Ann Foster will hold a private memorial service. There will be no visitation. Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Foster; her sons, Mitchell Keith Gilliam of Russellville, Kenneth D. Gilliam of Port Orange, Fla. and Brian Foster of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; her daughters, Elizabeth Foster of Chicago, Ill., Mary Ellen Foster of Calhoun, La. and Sarah Paul of Glen Carbon, Ill.; her sisters, Lula Mae White of Russell Springs and Barbara Jean Clark of Franklin; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
