The sun is shining this morning and it really looks good. After a few days of clouds, rain and wind we really appreciate the pretty sunshine. But you know, we have the hope of an early spring and then we won’t have much to complain about.

The Forever Young club recently made a trip to Springfield, Tenn., to a yea house. They reported a good trip and enjoyed the day. Joetta Dempsey of Bowling Green and Joyce Parrish of Russellville also joined the club and made the trip with them.

Veneida Audas has not been feeling very good lately and has been under the doctor’s care. We hope she can soon be feeling much better and able to do what she wants and needs to do.

I am sorry to report that my neighbor, Mattie Barnes, had the misfortune of falling and breaking her arm. I hope this will soon be better and doesn’t give her too much pain. I can really sympathize with her. I know what she is going through. I’m glad she has Jack there to help her. I bet he can make a good house keeper. We wish her a quick recovery.

I talked to Virginia Audas yesterday, who is now living in Virginia. I know she is glad to be near David, but she does miss her friends here in Dunmor. After all, when you live in the same place, same house for 85 years, you are bound to miss it. They moved to Dunmor when Virginia was six years old and for the most of her years have been spent here.

I got out Friday night and went with Barry to Kirkmansville where they played music. I always enjoy the food, as well as the music. The people who attend are so friendly and make you feel very comfortable. I always enjoy the food, the music, the hospitality of the staff and the friends who attend.

Joetta Dempsey, of Bowling Green, made her usual weekly visit Thursday to see her mother, Mildred Dorris. It is so good that she makes the time to come and take care of her mother’s needs.

I know how she feels because Barry is always here and ready to take care of my needs.

I guess it is the time of year and people start to think about warmer weather and go South. Frank and Ruby Fox are spending some time in Florida and visiting relatives. Frank has a brother, Harold and wife Judy, and a sister, Myrtle and husband, who live in Florida. Another brother, Lyndell and wife Nancy always go with them and I’m sure they’re really having fun. You know that is the trademark of the Foxes, to have fun.

I am glad to report that my good friend, Maurice Moore is beginning to feel better and that is good news. He has not been feeling well at all this winter. He is always so friendly and enjoys living. But you know when you don’t feel good, you can’t always put up a good front. It is my wish and prayer that he will continue to improve and be back to being well again.

Well they tell me some other Dunmor people are migrating to Florida for a visit. The Clifford Gardners are also spending some time in the sunshine of Florida. Have fun and enjoy yourselves.

It is about mail time, so we must bring this to a close. We hope all of you have a good week and are ready to face and win the problems of Life.

Good bye, good luck and God bless.
