Stanley Coleman Penrod, 63 of Russellville, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at The Medical Center.

He was born August 14, 1948 to the late Coleman “Bill” Penrod and Ravenel Porter Penrod in Logan County.

He was a construction worker for the pipeline and a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Penrod.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Don White officiating. Burial followed at the Russellville Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers were Donny Rakes, Jay Whyte, Mike Scott, Robert George, Ray Tate, Boyd Ray Penrod, Patrick Penrod and J.T. Taylor.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Penrod is survived by his wife, Bettye Jo Penrod; daughters Michelle George and husband Roger of Greenbriar, Tenn. and Melissa Tate and husband Ray of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; sister Betty Etheridge and husband Dale of Russellville; sister-in-law Betty Jane Penrod of Adairville; granddaughter Kaitlyn George and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Logan County Humane Society.
