Lillian “Lil” E. Thomas, 86, of Harriman, Tenn., died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at the Roane Medical Center in Harriman.

She was born in Atlantic Mine, Mich. June 30, 1925, a daughter of the late Kalle and Saimi Johnson Kilponen. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas was a dedicated member of the Petrie Memorial United Church and was a retired cosmetologist.

Memorial services were held Monday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Dr. Ted Beam officiating. Burial followed in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 19 from 12 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Kilpoene and wife Donna of Crossville, Tenn., and her sister, Lucille Chittum and husband Dr. Ed of High Springs, Fla.
