The 2014 baseball and softball regular season come to an end this week as the teams head into the 13th district tournaments. The tournaments will begin on Monday as these four teams fight for their chance into the regional tournaments.
The baseball tournament will be held at Logan County High School. The Logan County Cougars have an overall record of 22-9. The Cougars are the number one seed in the district after their 3-2 win over Franklin-Simpson. The Cougars will play the Todd County Central Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
The Russellville Panthers have an overall record of 17-15 as they go into their game against the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats. The Panthers will play at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
The baseball 13th district championship game will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.at LCHS.
The softball tournament will be held at Franklin-Simpson High School. The Russellville Panthers have an overall record of 3-20 and will play first on Monday. They will face the number one seed, the Franklin-Simpson Lady Wildcats, at 5:30 p.m.
The Logan County Lady Cougars go into the tournament as number two seed after getting wins over Russellville and Todd County. The Lady Cougars will play on Monday at 7:00 p.m. against the Lady Rebels.
The softball 13th district championship game will be held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at FSHS.
