March 6, 2014

Another week gone by and now it is March. The calendar gives the 20th as the first day of spring. With what the weatherman is giving now for this coming week, oh my, we will sure be ready when spring gets here.

Angelynn Marie Kirk arrived February 26th in Winchester, Ky. at 8:18 a.m. She weighed in at 5 lbs. and 1 oz. and was 18 and a half inches long. Her name is Angelynn Marie Kirk. Her parents are Asley and William Kirk and her granny, whom I might add is terribly excited, is Sherry Harris of Louisville. Sherry is the daughter of the late Glendon and Carlene Johnson Harris of Spa.

We got to see pictures of Angelynn, as grandma Sherry Harris of Louiville spent overnight Friday with me and on Saturday we cousins again put out a pot-luck meal together and visited here. Also visiting with us were Louise Henderson and Sue Fuller. We always have a good time and food.

Former countian Ed Mallory of Nashville is home there after double surgery in Nashville. he seems to be doing much better, so keep it up Ed.

I had to see my optometrist Thursday and Judy Jernigan took me. After the appointment we met Martine Brown and Kathryn Stuart at Cap’n D’s and had lunch. We always enjoy our time together.

Sue and James Fuller saw a couple of his Dr’s on Wednesday in Bowling Green and got a pretty good report.

We had visitors Sunday afternoon when former pastor Bro. Kenny and Tammy Cummins visited awhile. Always good to see them, They are from Princeton.

Our sympathy to Faye Brown and family in the death this past week of her mom Mrs. Nora Waggoner.

In hearing from the Sharps, they have been having problems like everyone. Sandra has pneumonia, Ray is having procedures done and Corey, C.J. and Rachael have upset tummies and have been vomiting. Hope all are feeling better now.

Copied “My thoughts these days unlike in days of yore. Is not some witty phrase, but simply, “what did I come here for?” Boy I can relate to that one.

Also in this week have been Judy Jernigan and Sheila Barrow. I always enjoy visits.

Hope the weatherman misses his threats for the week, will wait and see. have a good week and take care.
