Tonight the local teams will be bringing in the new year as they face each other in the annual Clash of the Cats game. The Logan County teams will be hosting the Russellville teams as they battle it out to find out who is the best team in the county.
The Logan County Lady Cougars come into the game with a record of 2-9. The Lady Cougars had their first two wins last week in the First Southern National Bank Christmas Classic tournament. Their first win was over the Middlesboro Lady Jackets last Thursday with a 14 point win of 65-51. Their second win was over the Russellville Lady Panthers last Saturday. The Lady Cougars would get a big 35 point win of 69-34.
The Russellville Lady Panthers come into the game with a record of 1-8. The Lady Panthers also got their first win over the season last week in the Christmas Classic tournament. The Lady Panthers faced the Trigg County Lady Wildcats and would battle out for the win of 56-51.
Tonight these two teams will fight hard to win to Clash of the Cats. The Lady Cougars already shown that they can win, but the Lady Panthers will fight hard against their biggest rival. The game will be held at Logan County High School and they will play at 6:00 tonight.
The Logan County Cougars come into the game with a season record of 0-7. The Cougars haven’t experienced much luck this year, but have played several close games.
The Russellville Panthers come into the game with a record of 3-9. The Panthers got their first win against the district team from Todd County. The Panthers made a comeback to win over the Rebels 79-76. The Panthers next two wins would come from the Christmas Classic last week. The Panthers won 71-61 against the Caldwell County Tigers. Then went on to beat the Pickett County Bobcats from Tennessee with a win of 78-72.
Even though the Panthers come in with a better record, the Cougars are prepared to come to the game and fight to win the Clash of the Cats. These two teams will face each other tonight at Logan County High School. Their game will begin after the girls game around 7:30 tonight.
