Logan County Cross County holds annual Cougar Run

The Logan County Cross Country team held their annual Cougar Run on Saturday. The Cougars hosted 12 teams and had a successful day of racing. The varsity boys would take second place during their race with 78 points.

The Cougars don’t have any varsity girl runners but they had six runners in the varsity boys race. Kaleb O’Dell would lead the Cougars after finishing third place with a time of 18:44. Levi Crossley would follow with a sixth place finish and a time of 19:01. Kelly Eicher would also finish in the top ten with a ninth place finish with a time of 19:17. Gage Cousineau finished in 33rd place with a time of 20:56. Tanner Morrow finished in 34th place with a time of 21:01 and Riley Wharton finished 38th place with a time of 21:39.

The varsity boys team finished in second place with a score of 78. They were behind to Madisonville North Hopkins who won with a score of 40.

The Cougars had one middle school girl runner, Maria Wells, who finished her 3k in 19th place with a time of 14:51. Matthew Jenkins was the only middle school boy runner who finished in 22nd place with a time of 14:16.

The Cougars had two elementary runners. Ashtyn Cole finished the 2k face in ninth place with a time of 10:21. Ethan Jenkins finished in 27th place with a time of 11:07.
